How Aderonke Rene Ahmed helps underprivileged Nigerians Pay Hospital Bills with “Visit a Hospital Today foundation”

A random act of kindness to a random human being is the way to heal our world. Aderonke and her team at Visit a Hospital Today foundation are leading that cause right in the city of Lagos, Nigeria, by showing love and helping one random needy soul at a time.

“Vist a Hospital Today foundation” is a charity foundation created by Aderonke Rene Ahmed with the primary focus of helping underprivileged Nigerians, in public hospitals in the city of Lagos, have access to good healthcare facilities and help them pay up for medical costs including medications. In cases where such patients give up the ghost, the foundation also bares the funeral costs as well.

Aderonke is a hardcore business woman who is also passionate about making positive changes in her environment. She started Visit a Hospital Today out of passion for the needy. She was particular about putting a priceless smile on people’s face when they give help to people who have no hope of ever getting help in hospitals.

As a faith based person, Aderonke is aware that sometimes she too experiences those out of the blue help from nowhere. Having experienced such helps too, she decided to help people in need. The foundation primarily focuses on government hospitals with patients who are stuck in hospitals because they can’t pay their Medical bills. And there are other times that Aderonke and her team might get to a government hospital and find cases of people going to through all sorts of pains because they can’t afford necessary Medical procedure. With the help of her team and a generous support for donors, the foundation is able to spring into action to help.

The foundation has been actively supporting cases of Women with new borns who were stuck in hospital because they couldn’t afford to pay bills (bills ranging from sixty thousand naira upwards). There were also cases of patients with amputated legs and foundation supported by getting them prosthetics (and crutches if need be). There were also cases of patients with severe burnings (including children) which the foundation supported.

The foundation has supported patients in  Gbagada General Hospital, Island maternity hospital, Igbobi General Hospital, Lagos General Hospital, Luth Hospital, Marina General Hospital and many more. The foundation has also helped raised funds for medical supplies and medicine for various hospital like Massey Children’s Hospital.  Aderonke was also able to raise three thousand dollars, recently, which has helped the foundation support more underprivileged Nigerians requiring urgent medical attention.

Helping people that not expecting to be helped by anyone is the founding philosophy of the foundation. And subconsciously through a large number of anonymous and identifiable donors Visit a Hospital Today foundation is imprinting this philosophy as a way of life that we all should imbibe if we are truly going to make our world a better place.
